I too attended St. Cecilia’s as did much of my family. I also remember the stories surrounding Sister Sylvester. Her ghost supposedly played piano at a room (the long room) at the very top of the school. We would visit the school late in the evening and often hear noises coming from the room where the piano was stored. The building is historic and yes quite creepy.

Hi Matt,

Congrats! You did a great job on Celebrity Ghost Story. Wow, was I surprised to see St Cecilia’s and not Earamus High School on the show.
My Family has a 100 year history with St Cecilia’s. The ghost story I heard most often from my Uncle who was a Priest was involving Sister Sylvester who died under strange circumstances on the dreaded 4th floor.
The basement which was shown on the show was our lunch room! Talk about creepy! Most kids went home for lunch but some of us had to eat there.
Many children fell victim to the paddle in St Cecilia’s mostly on the “Girl’s” side where the Nuns used paddles. The Brothers who taught the boys were more partial to using their fists.
I am sure both Earamus and St Cecilia’s are haunted. Good Luck in all your career!

Hey Natialie! We shot at St. Cecilia’s Church, a Catholic School in Brooklyn. It’s not the school that Michael had his encounter at but it is supposed to be haunted in real life. The school has been shut down for several years and as I mentioned, it’s a pretty creepy place.

Hi I started to try and find that school that you were talking about? What school you did you actually filmed it?I was very creep out too!! That doesn’t happened to me alot!! I watch all shows that have to do with ghosts….So if you could I’d like to know? So that I could look it up and see the history about it?
